Aaron Saikovski |
Aaron Saikovski is a Microsoft technology specialist
with over fifteen years commercial IT industry
experience. He has consulted for major corporate
clients such as Microsoft Australia, Accenture, NSW
House of Representatives, Department of Employment &
Workplace Relations, Department of Industry, TransGrid,
Lion Nathan, TABCorp and NineMSN.
Aaron’s core skills are focused around software
development for business process integration and
Information Worker applications, predominantly utilising
BizTalk Server and SharePoint Server. He possesses
strong business acumen coupled with a very solid
technical base, making him a very adaptable and capable
technical consultant.
Aaron is an avid member of the Sydney Deep .NET User
Group and the Sydney BizTalk User Group, and he is an
active blogger. He currently holds MCT, MCAD.NET,
MCSD.NET, MCDBA and MCTS [BizTalk Server 2006]
certifications. |

Adam Clark |
Adam Clark is a Senior Business Analyst for Avanade
Australia with a focus in the Information Worker and
Microsoft SharePoint space. Hailing from Brisbane,
Queensland, Adam has been working in the Microsoft
SharePoint technologies space for several years, holds a
wealth of knowledge around SharePoint Technology
implementation, methodologies and owners the Brisbane
SharePoint Users Group where many of Brisbane’s
SharePoint and Office specialists meet. Adam has worked
for both large and small organisations including
Superannuation Companies, large and small government
departments and System Integrators.

Adam Cogan |
Adam Cogan is the Chief Architect at SSW, a Microsoft
Certified Partner specializing in Office and .NET
Solutions. At SSW, Adam has been developing custom
solutions for businesses across a range of industries
such as Government, banking, insurance and manufacturing
since 1990 for clients such as Microsoft, Quicken, and
the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation.
Adam was one of the lead developers behind Australia's
first live .NET site - using a version that was pre Beta
1! One of his latest projects was the Smart Tag
implementation for Quicken Australia. Adam was also
responsible for developing Reporting Services and
Exchange Server samples for Microsoft that turned into a
hugely popular Exchange Reporting Tool. Adam develops in
Microsoft technologies; his favorites being SQL Server
2005, Reporting Services, OLAP, Winforms and Webforms
(using Visual Studio .NET 2005 with both VB.NET and C#),
Access 2007, Outlook 2007/Exchange Server 2007.
Adam is one of only three Microsoft Regional Directors
in Australia . In this role, he regularly presents in
conferences such as TechEd (USA, Australia, New Zealand
and Malaysia). A couple of times a year, he visits
Microsoft headquarters in Seattle to learn the latest on
Microsoft strategic directions and to undertake training
in development technologies. |

Alistair Speirs |
Alistair Speirs is a Technology
Specialist for Office at Microsoft Australia. Before
moving to Sydney, Alistair was based in Brisbane working
with technology start-ups and later, as a consulting
developer. With experience from excel automation, forms
and workflow using InfoPath and development with
SharePoint Products and Technologies Alistair has a wide
understanding of the Office Platform and where

Andrew Coates |
Andrew Coates is a Developer Evangelist at Microsoft. He
speaks regularly to a variety of developers and
application architects on Microsoft's development tools
and integration techniques. Prior to joining Microsoft,
Andrew was an independent consultant, developer and
mentor specialising in database applications, Office
business applications and Geographic Information

Armen Stein |
Armen Stein is the president and founder of J Street
Technology, Inc., a team of database application
developers in Redmond, Washington. J Street also offers
web design, web hosting and CartGenie, a complete web
storefront and shopping cart system. Armen is a
Microsoft Access MVP, and is President Emeritus of the
Pacific Northwest Access Developers Group. Armen
co-authored Access 2007 VBA Programmer's Reference (Wrox),
has taught college level database classes, and also
developed and taught one-day training classes on Access
and Access/SQL Server development. Armen's other

Chris Armstrong |
Chris Armstrong, a Senior Solutions Developer for
Avanade Australia. Has a strong focus on the Information
Worker and SharePoint Practices based in Melbourne. With
over ten years IT experience in various IT sectors
including Government, Financial and Telecommunications
sectors Chris has been involved in a number complex and
challenging projects. As a senior solution developer
Chris also has a solid background in .Net development
coupled with experience with Live Communications Server,
BizTalk and SharePoint.

Ed Fererro |
Ed Ferrero became interested in spreadsheets in 1981
when he developed a forecasting system in HP Basic that
included some very cool array commands. A year later, he
started using Lotus 1-2-3. Since starting his own
consulting company in 1998, Ed has concentrated on
helping his clients manage business information. He uses
the Microsoft platform to develop systems that integrate
Access, Excel, VBA, and SQL Server to provide customised
solutions to business needs. Ed has been an MVP since
2006. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Sydney
with majors in mathematics and physics. He lives in
Brisbane with his wife, dog, and cat. He is a keen snow

Ed Richard |
After starting his professional career in the Royal
Dutch Navy, Ed studied IT in the eighties. After a few
years as a civilian application developer for the Navy,
the commercial IT companies were too much of an
attraction. Ed managed the technical aspects of a
Clipper development team of 8 people until he started
his own development and consultancy company in 1994.
During these years both companies were leading training
institute for Clipper and later Visual Objects in The
Netherlands and ran the Dutch Clipper & VO Helpdesk for
CA. Ed has been president of the VO-user group section
of SDGN (now SDN) the biggest developer user group in
The Netherlands and has been a board member for over 10
years. Never shy of new environments, Ed was always very
interested in application integration with a strong
affinity for Microsoft. For a couple of years now Ed’s
been learning and moving to C# using Visual Studio and
VSTO as well as developing in Visual Objects. In 2006 he
joined Software Objectives in Australia . Ed has been a
speaker for many national and international conferences
such as CA-World and CttM and regularly publishes
articles for SDN. In Melbourne Ed has co-founded the
Microsoft Office System Special Interest Group of
Victoria.Net providing the community with monthly
meetings, newsletters, Blogs and articles on MS-Office
usage and development covering all of Office System. |

Gayan Peiris |
Gayan Peiris is a SharePoint Technology Specialist at
Microsoft Australia. He has written many articles,
reviews, columns for various online publications and a
contributing author for a SharePoint book. Gayan is a
frequent speaker at Microsoft conferences on SharePoint
technology. He has been a leading SharePoint advocate
since 2001 and was the president of Canberra SharePoint
User Group. Gayan was presented with MVP award for his
contribution towards Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal
Server technology.

Graham Seach |
Graham Seach is the Chief Architect
at Pacific Database, a Sydney-based software solutions
provider, specialising in database applications using
the Microsoft toolset, specifically Access and SQL
Server. For about 20 years, Graham has developed
solutions in both the public and private sectors,
including health, Defence and aerospace, manufacturing,
consulting, banking, finance and investment, and so on.
He has been working with Access since Version 1.0 (about
14 years). He is a published author, presents sessions
on Access at conferences around the world including
TechEd and product launches, and visits Microsoft HQ in

Grant Paisley is the Chief Solutions Architect for

Ivan Wilson |
Ivan is the founder of
SharePoint Gurus, a small consultancy firm that
focuses on assisting clients with their Information
Management requirements. Despite his youthful looks, he
has been working on Microsoft technologies for 13 years.
In 2001 he began working on SharePoint and has been the
technical architect on many large-scale projects. Based
on his work within the SharePoint community, Ivan was

John McGhie is a technical writer and business analyst
consulting to corporations, specialising in long
documents, multi-format output, bio-technical, and
software documentation. He specialises in very long
documents, such as books and manuals; and in producing
material to very short deadlines. He provides VBA

Mick Badran |
Mick operates Breeze Training Pty Ltd (www.breezetraining.com.au),
a niche consulting and training company specialising in
Microsoft integration technologies. He is a Microsoft
MVP (Windows Server System - BizTalk Server) who
consults at several levels based on the Connected
Systems Space, dealing with technologies such as MOSS,
BizTalk, WCF and WF. Typically he provides System
Architecture guidance and technical mentoring in design
and implementation of various solutions.
Mick has been heavily involved in the BizTalk and MOSS
space since their V1 inception (1999), where he worked
closely with Microsoft UK, delivering sessions around
Europe. He works closely with Microsoft both here and in
the US, around designing BizTalk and MOSS-based
material, and is currently integrating BizTalk

Shauna Kelly |
Shauna Kelly’s interests in Word are in corporate
documents involving complex numbering and layout, with a
focus on improving users’ productivity of Word. She has
developed Word templates and applications for clients in
Australia and the US including Australian government
departments and agencies, the US Library of Congress,
Chevy Chase Bank and the US National Institute of
Standards and Technology. Shauna Kelly lives in
Melbourne. Outside of Word interests, she is a Certified
Practising Accountant, a member of CPA Australia’s
Centre of Excellence for Information Technology &
Management, and consults to businesses and government on
business planning, budgeting, process improvement and
